Documentary Photographer, Journalist, and Visual Artist
Born in Ibagué, Colombia.
Gerald Bermúdez is a Colombian documentary photographer and journalist with over a decade of experience, specialising in social issues in Colombia and Latin America. His work has been widely featured in international media, including publications such as Blankspot Project, Dagens Nyheter, Svenska Dagbladet, Folha de Sao Paulo, Jacobin Magazine, and Öttar Magazine. He also works as a field producer for major TV news outlets like BBC, ARD, and France 24. Bermúdez has participated in the XV and XVII Risc Training (Sao Paulo, Medellín / 2018-2019) and is an IWMF Fellow. He was formerly a partner of OjoRojo Fábrica Visual. Currently, he is preparing a book that explores the peace process between the Colombian Government and FARC.
